The New Enemy is a hardcore punk band from Toronto. Our latest release, Illusion of Choice, features five original songs and three covers (Leonard Cohen, Snapcase, Gob). The release was self-recorded, with mixing by Will Killingsworth (Fury, Full of Hell) and mastering by Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Power Trip).
Here are some reviews of our previous releases...
"Truly infectious while remaining heavy and confrontational" - New Noise Magazine
"A mix of Sick Of It All, Verbal Abuse and Tool" - Maximum Rock & Roll
"A keen awareness of political and social issues" - Exclaim Magazine
"Supports the scene and puts out great tunes" - Amp Magazine
Since forming, The New Enemy has donated all Bandcamp revenues to charity. For past releases, this has varied from youth shelters to cancer research. For Illusion of Choice, we'll be raising funds for YMCA Sprott House, the first LGBTQ2S transitional housing program for youth in Canada.
